You must be aged 19 or over and have lived in the UK or EU for a minimum of three years.

For full funding you must be:

  • aged 19 or over
  • receive any state benefit payment (evidence required)
  • unemployed or working less than 16 hours and seeking employment

This course aims to identify the needs of learners in their ability to manage money from basic counting change in shops to progress to:

  • Develop the learner's awareness of financial products and services such as savings accounts and loans
  • Increase the learner's knowledge of saving and borrowing money.
  • Make informed decisions when choosing financial products and services
  • Understand the risks to personal finances
  • Compare goods, products and services.
